In March 2022, Global Sisters Report published alumna Jean Martinez's article "At a Nursing Home, I Find Hopeful Ministry in a Time of Change." In it, she shares her emotional and spiritual journey ushered in by the Covid-19 epidemic as she adapted her ministry of pastoral care to the residents at the Chateau de Notre Dame, a nursing home and apartments in the New Orleans area. Read the article»

Sr. Jean is a member of Sisters of the Holy Family of New Orleans. Originally from Belize, Central America, she currently resides in New Orleans. She is a 2018 graduate of Loyola Institute for Ministry and participated in LIM's project Communicating Charism, funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
