Apply for Graduation 

  • Students who will finish their degree requirements at the end of the Fall 2022 semester, will "graduate" then.  If this is you, please apply for Graduation Fall 2022 through this link.  Though "graduating" in Fall 2022, you may take part in the May 2023 Commencement ceremony.

  • Students who will finish their degree requirements in May (Spring 2023), or August (Summer 2023), or December (Fall 2023) of the calendar year 2023 may participate in the Commencement ceremony held in May 2023.  If this is you, please go to your LORA Self-Service app in the Single Sign On, find the "Graduation Application" tab, and submit your application for the Semester/Term that you will be "graduating" (finishing all of your requirements).

Graduation Fee 

All graduating students, regardless of their participation in the commencement ceremony, will be charged a graduation fee of $325. For students participating in the commencement ceremony, this fee will also include the cost of the regalia, diploma and leather cover.

Undergraduate / Graduate Commencement Ceremony at 10 am

Graduate and undergraduate students wear their regalia to this event.

Notes:  Guests will be required to go through a visual bag check upon entry; the following items are prohibited: alcohol, balloons, flowers, confetti. Banners or signs are permitted if they are in good taste and do not obstruct the view of other guests. Guest entrances are via Ramp 1 and Ramp 4. Guests using wheelchairs and with limited mobility may enter the ADA Ground entrance at Ramp 1. This entrance is only for those requiring assistance.

LIM graduates and their guests are invited to a reception following the MIssioning Ceremony and vigil Mass. Light refreshements will be served. Further details and RSVP forthcoming.

 

Parking

On-Campus Events

Loyola campus parking facilities will be open with free parking May 11 – 13, 2023 for commencement activities. Loyola University Police will be directing traffic. Only vehicles with a disabled tag may park in spots designated for disabled parking on campus.

UNO Lakefront Arena

Parking at the UNO Lakefront Arena is in surface lots and is free.

Disability Accommodation or Special Assistance

Guests who may need special assistance or accessible seating will be accommodated. If a graduate needs special assistance at the commencement ceremony or any of the celebrations, please contact Judy Fontenot Lavergne jflaverg@loyno.edu by May 2.

Regalia

Graduate and undergraduate students will be able to order their regalia online beginning in January 10. Details and links will be forthcoming then.

  • Regalia is encouraged to be worn to the college Masses.

  • Regalia is required to participate in commencement ceremonies.
