Tuition and Fees
Because of the Jesuit commitment to spreading the gospel and training leaders, all LIM students receive a substantial discount off the regular Loyola University graduate tuition rate.
All students are assessed tuition and fees on a per course basis. Courses taken for graduate credit hours (crs) follow the current graduate tuition rate at LIM, while courses taken for continuing education credit (ceus) follow the current ceu tuition rate at LIM.
The University reserves the right to change tuition, fees, or other charges over the course of a student’s enrollment.
Current graduate tuition is $425 per credit hour ($1,275 per course). Students pursuing the dual degree in Pastoral Studies and Counseling (MPS/MS) may take 6 credit hours in the Counseling Department at the Institute for Ministry tuition rate. Current tuition for the continuing education certificates, including the advanced continuing education certificate, is $135 per CEU ($405 per course). Online students pay certain university fees as well. Fees for part-time graduate students (1-5 credit hrs per semester) are $118; full-time fees (6+ credit hrs per semester) are $235. Current undergraduate tuition is $468 per credit hour ($1,404 per course). Online students pay certain university fees as well. Fees for part-time undergraduate students (1-11 credit hrs per semester) are $118; full-time fees (12+ credit hrs per semester) are $235. Current tuition and fee schedules are available here.
Current graduate tuition is $425 per credit hour ($1,275 per course). On-campus students pay certain other university fees. Fees for part-time graduate students (1-5 credit hrs per semester) are $463.00; full-time fees (6+ credit hrs per semester) are $925. For students enrolled in dual-degree programs, tuition for MPS courses is charged at the LIM rate, and tuition for business, counseling, or criminal justice is charged according to the responsible department or school's rate. Extension graduate students pay university fees as well. Fees for part-time graduate students (1-5 credit hrs per semester) are $118; full-time fees (6+ credit hrs per semester) are $235. Some dioceses and other sponsoring agencies charge a modest fee to help defray administrative costs in the local area. Payment of this fee is not required by nor shared with the Institute and in no way affects a student's academic status in the program.
