The Loyola Institute for Ministry’s work at the intersection of faith, theology, and emerging technology received a wider audience through a recent interview on Louisiana Considered. Tracey Lamont, director of the Institute, joined the program to discuss how artificial intelligence is reshaping the ways people learn, communicate, form relationships, and seek meaning—and how Christian faith and theological reflection can help us navigate these changes.
During the interview, Tracey also highlighted LIM’s recent planning grant through the Lilly Endowment’s Growing in Faith in the Age of Artificial Intelligence Initiative. The grant will support LIM’s efforts to listen, learn, and collaborate as it explores innovative approaches to helping youth and young adults engage the ethical, spiritual, and relational dimensions of AI.
The interview provided an important opportunity to share LIM’s mission beyond the university community and invite a broader audience into the conversation about faith and technology. It also underscored the Institute’s ongoing commitment to preparing faith leaders to thoughtfully respond to the opportunities and challenges shaping the Church and society.
