On Sept. 19, 2026, LIM professor Emily Jendzejec, Ph.D., joined participants from the Archdiocese of Louisville for a virtual presentation, “Shared Christian Praxis: Fostering a Lived Christian Praxis.” The event was sponsored by the Archdiocese of Louisville and the Catholic Services Appeal.
During the presentation, Dr. Jendzejec introduced participants to theologian Thomas Groome’s shared Christian praxis approach to religious education. Groome’s methodology encourages individuals to reflect on their lived experiences through the lens of faith and, in turn, put that faith into action in their everyday lives.
Dr. Jendzejec guided participants through the “life to faith to life” process, inviting them to reflect on their own experiences and consider how shared Christian praxis could be incorporated into their ministries. Through this approach, participants explored ways to connect faith reflection with meaningful action in their communities and ministries.
