LIM Alumna Sarah Mernaugh Named University Minister for Retreats and Ignatian Life Communities

We are proud to celebrate the recent success of Sarah Mernaugh, a graduate of the Loyola Institute for Ministry (LIM), who has been hired by Loyola University New Orleans as the new University Minister for Retreats and Ignatian Life Communities.

Sarah recently earned her Master of Pastoral Studies with a concentration in Youth and Young Adult Ministry from Loyola. During her time as a graduate student, she served as a Graduate Assistant for Student Life and Ministry, where she supported the planning and execution of student retreats, liturgies, and inclusive spiritual programming designed to meet the diverse needs of college students.

A former Jesuit Volunteer, Sarah brings a deep passion for interfaith organizing, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and accompanying young adults on their spiritual journeys. She is a gifted retreat facilitator, film photographer, and writer, who believes deeply in the sacredness of everyday life, friendship, and community.

In her new role, Sarah will continue to embody the Ignatian values that have shaped her academic and ministerial journey. We are thrilled to see her take this next step and confident that her creativity, compassion, and commitment to ministry will continue to inspire and uplift the Loyola community.

Congratulations, Sarah!
