Leadership Meets Opportunity: LIM Alumna Selected to Guide Cristo Rey Orlando

Educational leader Amanda Livermore, MPS, has been appointed as the founding President and CEO of Cristo Rey Orlando High School, set to open its doors in Fall 2025. The announcement comes following an extensive national search by the school's Search Committee.

Livermore's selection stems from her demonstrated leadership throughout her career in the Diocese of Orlando, where she has established herself as a visionary educational administrator committed to student success and community engagement.
"I am deeply honored to lead Cristo Rey Orlando and bring this transformative educational model to our community," said Livermore. "The Cristo Rey approach combines rigorous academics with real-world professional experience, creating pathways to success for students regardless of economic background" (Cristo Rey Press Release).

The Cristo Rey Network currently encompasses 38 Catholic, college- and career-preparatory schools nationwide. Its innovative educational model integrates four years of college preparatory academics with professional work experience through its Corporate Work Study Program. This distinctive approach particularly serves students with limited economic resources, empowering them to pursue their educational and career aspirations.

As founding President and CEO, Livermore will oversee the school's establishment, including facility development, faculty recruitment, student enrollment, and cultivation of corporate partnerships essential to the school's work-study program.
Cristo Rey Orlando will become the fourth Cristo Rey school in Florida, joining existing campuses in Tampa, Miami, and Jacksonville. The school aims to welcome its inaugural freshman class in August 2025.
