Michele Mencuccini holds a Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University. Her research focused on leadership in Jesuit universities and the values they instill in students. She is also a graduate of Loyola University Institute for Ministry with a Master of Pastoral Studies where her area of study was Marketplace Ministry. Currently, she is a hospital chaplain at the University of Arizona Medical School’s teaching hospital in Phoenix. Her work as a chaplain led her back to Creighton University’s graduate studies in bioethics. She has published articles on collaborative online international learning (COIL) and Cultivating a Culture of Ignatian Pedagogy with Faculty at Jesuit Universities. Outside of her current role, she serves on the board of directors of Catholic Charities AZ, the Franciscan Renewal Center, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
