Graduates of LIM's Spanish-language program received the Certificado de Educación Continua en Teología y Ministerio. The twelve students, pictured above with their facilitator Danna Johnson, received LIM's Kairos Award at the May 2022 College of Nursing and Health Awards ceremony. The Kairos Award is given collectively to a LIM or LIM Extension classes that has demonstrated LIM's core values of academic excellence and collaboration for ministry. In theological studies, the name of the award, the Greek word kairos, means a Spirit-filled time when people and circumstances come together in an extraordinary way to accomplish the purposes of God in the world.
On August 27, 2022, at a special Mass in honor of these twelve dedicated Hispanic leaders, the students officially received their certificates. The Mississippi Catholic newspaper reported on the Diocese of Jackson's celebration of these students and their facilitator in articles in both English and Spanish.
