Alumna Skya Abbate has committed herself to lifelong learning and achivement. In May 2020, she earned a Doctorate Degree in Bioethics from Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics & Healthcare Leadership at Loyola University Chicago. She has also recently published articles in diverse journals. Her most recent article, "All Creatures Moving Forward: Reconsidering the Ethics of Xenotransplantation in Light of Laudato Si," appears in the current issue of the Journal of Moral Theology; last year, the journal Holistic Nursing Practice published "Reframing Holistic Patient Care in Nursing Homes through the Lens of Relational Autonomy."
