Ignatian Spiritual Formation

This summer, the Loyola Institute for Ministry invites you to enrich your spiritual life by using one of the prayer methods below.

Sacred Space's Daily Prayer

The Irish Jesuits offer a brief text on "Something To Think and Pray about This Week" and include a guided prayer on a new scripture every day.

Daily Ignatian Examen

Ignatian spirituality includes the daily practice of the examen originally developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola. Utilize this technique of prayerful reflection to consider the events of each day so that you may spend time with God and discern his direction for your life.

Ignatian Examen for Life during COVID-19

This Examen is adapted to respond to the challenges of life during COVID-19 and invites you to consider where you are experiencing grace and where you might grow personally and spiritually and in your interactrions with others.

Ecological Examen

This Examen responds to the call to care for creation and asks you to reflect on your relationship with creation and, based on that reflection, to change your actions as needed to promote ecological justice.

Three-Minute Retreat

This short prayer break invites reflection on a Scripture passage. The pace of the retreat is up to you, though the basic timing of the screens guides you through the experience. You can even sign up for daily email reminders.

Collaborative Ministry Office of Creighton University Online Retreat for Everyday Life

This 34-week retreat invites you to experience God's grace in the midst of your busy life. This retreat is available in audio format.

Sacred Space's Praying through the Covid-19 Crisis: ‘Isolation’ Retreat

Focusing on themes drawn from the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius, this 14-day retreat has a daily theme, a preparatory prayer, three related scripture quotes, some questions for reflection, and a closing prayer.
