Q: If my group is in a course over the summer, will assignmens still be mailed?

A: Yes. The new procedures will affect groups registering for a course in the fall 2016 semester; registration for the fall begins on July 15th.

Q: How do I get a copy of the Attendance Record to complete?

A:  Download the necessary form from the Blackboard course. Watch the tutorial to learn how GO»

Q: I am working on a MAC, and I can fill in the form, but when I save it, the text fields are blank. What is happening, and how do I fix it?

A: If you are using the Mac OS Preview application, it's a known problem that Preview gives the user the impression that a PDF form can be filled out and saved, but when such a form is then opened in a PDF viewer that is conforming to the PDF specification, the form fields are blank. The data is there, just not visible to the user.  The only way to avoid this problem is to use Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader to fill out your forms: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/install-updates-reader-acrobat.html

Q: I can download the form, but when I open in Adobe, I cannot fill in the fields. What is happening, and how do I fix this?

A: Adobe Reader may be launching in protected mode, but you can only fill in the form if this protected mode is turned off. To  change this setting, please do the following:

1) Open Adobe Reader.
2) Click on the Edit tab; then scroll down to Preferences and click on it.
3) Under the Categories menu on  the left-hand side of the screen, select Security.
4) At the top of the screen, you will see "Sandbox Protections" and underneath it the item "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" Deselect this so that it is no longer checked.
5) Click OK
6) Shut down Adobe Reader.
7) Open the Attendance Record; you should now able to fill in the fields.
