Sister Shares Personal Journey of Spiritual Renewal through Loyola Program

Sister Morenikeji "Francisca" Faseemo, U.S. Mission Superior of the Sisters of St. Michael the Archangel in the Archdiocese of Galveston–Houston, recently published an insightful reflection in the Texas Catholic Herald titled "Program Helps Gulf Coast Women Religious Flourish." Read it here on page 9.

Her article chronicles her transformative experience as a participant in the Loyola Institute for Ministry's Flourishing Sisterhood Project, an innovative initiative designed to nurture the well-being of religious sisters through collaborative learning communities. The program offers participants the opportunity to earn Loyola's Certificate in Spirituality, with specialized focus on spirituality and the aging process.

In her compelling reflection, Sr. Francisca delved into how the program has profoundly influenced three key areas of her religious life: her personal spiritual practice, her relationships within her religious community, and her overall sense of fulfillment and joy in her vocation.

The Flourishing Sisterhood Project represents a unique approach to supporting women religious by combining academic rigor with pastoral care, recognizing the evolving needs of sisters throughout different stages of their religious life.
