Alumna Louise Locke has dedicated her career to serving others. Holding dual Master's degrees in Pastoral Studies and Counseling, Louise currently ministers as a Maryknoll Lay Missioner in Bolivia. She recently shared her experiences as a missionary on the Go Forth podcast, reflecting on Matthew 10:39 ("Whoever finds his life will lose it, whoever loses his life will find it.") and giving witness to her faith. Listen to the podcast here.
Most recently, Louise worked as a pastoral associate at a parish serving a large retirement community. Her past roles further exemplify her commitment to caregiving, having worked as a hospital and hospice chaplain, a pastoral care coordinator at several nursing homes in New Orleans, and a volunteer providing food and assistance to those in need in Florida. Louise has also spent 3 years offering her services through Catholic Volunteers in Florida and Good News Outreach. Her immersion trip to the U.S.-Mexico border likewise speaks to her dedication to those on the margins. As a member of Pax Christi, Louise lives out her call to peacemaking and service. From parish ministry to global outreach, she continues to answer the call to put her impressive pastoral training into compassionate action.
