Ansel wrote the commentaries for Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Luke, 2 Peter, and Revelation.
This Bible includes many traditional features of a youth Bible, such basic Christian beliefs and practices, biblical timelines and maps, a church calendar, and glossary. It also highlights Africans and African Americans in the Bible and African American Catholic history and includes information on how youth may apply the Bible’s message to situations they face. In short, “It allows [black] youth to see themselves in the pages of salvation history,” as Ansel said in an article in the Clarion Herald.
