Congratulations to our recent Youngstown LIMEX graduates and their facilitator Terry Murphy! At the College of Nursing and Health Awards Ceremony in May, the Youngstown LIMEX learning group received the Loyola Institute for Ministry Kairos Award, given collectively to a LIM or LIM extension class that has demonstrated LIM's core values of academic excellence and collaboration for ministry. In theological studies, the name of the award, the Greek word Kairos, means a Spirit-filled time when people and circumstances come together in an extraordinary way to accomplish the purposes of God in the world. In July, they came together in their hometown to celebrate their amazing achievements. The joy is palpable in these photos from their recent ceremony and celebration at Terry and Mickee’s home. LIM director Tracey Lamont was also able to visit with Terry and some of the grads during her recent visit to Youngstown. We are eternally grateful for Terry's dedication to LIM's mission and to our graduates.
Graduates earning a Master of Pastoral Studies are Erica Galvin, Jennifer Lawrence, Darlene Marks, and Sr. Martha Reed. One graduate, Rebecca Szekely, earned the Master of Religious Education degree. Ellen Prentice and Carol Stowe earned the Graduate Certificate in Theology and Ministry.
