Marysa has worked in ministry for seven years and has worked in various parishes in the Archdiocese of New Orleans and the Diocese of Charleston. She has served as a campus minister, religion teacher, and young adult minister in the Archdiocese of New Orleans and interned in its archives, as well as worked as a coordinator of children's ministries at a parish in the Diocese of Charleston. 

She was born in New Orleans, but has spent most of her life on the Northshore living in Covington. She is recently married and now returning to her roots, and living on the Southshore. She is no stranger to the Loyola Institute of Ministry having earned her Masters in Religious Education with a concentration on youth and young adults there, and also earned a B.A. in History from Southeastern Louisiana.
