Christine Bagala, Alison Phillips, and Jessica Alvendia traveled to the Magnolia Grove Monastery in Batesville, Mississippi, on Sunday, October 2nd, to participate in a Day of Mindfulness led by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hahn. According to his website: "One of the best known and most respected Zen masters in the world today, poet, peace and human rights activist, Thay (teacher) has led an extraordinary life. Born in central Vietnam in 1926, He was ordained a Buddhist monk in 1942 at the age of sixteen.

Counseling Professor Dr. LeAnne Steen graduated from the Association for Play Therapy Leadership Academy led by the Association for Play Therapy President and CEO Bill Burns. Fellow graduates from Louisiana included: Sheila Gold, Kathryn Hill, Adrianne Lolan, and Krystal Vaughan. Congratulations to Dr. Steen on her successful completion of all requirements of graduation.

Benoit is a graduate of LSU-E, received her BSN from Loyola University, and MHA from Tulane University. Her new position is a homecoming as she worked from 1990 - 1993 at Lafayette General in the Emergency Department and as a House Supervisor.
