An article written by Professor Deborah Copeland was recently accepted for publication by the Comprehensive Pediatric Nursing Journal. The article, "Psychosocial Differences Related To Parenting Infants Among Single And Married Mothers," compared the psychosocial factors, self esteem, sense of mastery, life stress, and social support among first-time married and single mothers in early parenthood.

Don Thompson, MPS '90 has been since 2000 Executive Director of the Harry Tompson Center , an award-winning center for the homeless located at St. Joseph Church near downtown New Orleans. He is responsible for overseeing services for 250-275 homeless guests each day, the recruitment and supervision of staff, liaison responsibilities with neighboring businesses and the coordination of donations and fundraising for the Center.
