The Play Therapy Center for Education & Research at Loyola University New Orleans has earned a three-year designation as an Approved Center of Play Therapy Education from the Association for Play Therapy (APT). This designation recognizes the Center's leadership in the field of Play Therapy, highlighting their role in generating research, publications, instruction, clinical experience, and continuing education in the field of Play Therapy.

Loyola's graduate program in counseling, in conjunction with the Play Therapy Center, offers academic instruction and supervised clinical experiences in Play Therapy.
