Dr. Belcher is an Assistant Professor here in the Counseling Department. They are a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), hold state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia and Louisiana, and are a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC). Dr. Belcher enjoys engaging with students and colleagues and discussing ways to advance the counseling profession. Dr. Belcher is from Richmond, VA, and has enjoyed the transition to New Orleans. They are a member of Chi Sigma Iota (2013) and currently serve as co-advisor of the Loyola chapter.  Dr. Belcher has a private practice, offering teletherapy, providing outpatient therapy to individuals, families, and couples. Clinically, Dr. Belcher has experience working with children and teens on topics associated with development, gender and sexuality, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and adjustment, as well as adults with serious mental health disorders, relationships, anxiety, and communication skills.
