Dr. Belcher earned her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University (2012), a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University (2014), and a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Old Dominion University (2019). She is a nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC). Dr. Belcher’s research interest include Meta-Analysis, Interprofessional Collaboration, Multisystemic Therapy, teaching practices, teen suicide, LGBT development, and experiences of African Americans. Clinically, Dr. Belcher has experience working with children and teens on topics associated with development, gender and sexuality, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and adjustment.
