Loyola Students Give Anti-Bullying Presentation to Local 5th Graders

Current students Cassidy Fischer and Emily Jasper, along with professor Christine Ebrahim, made a total of 4 presentations to 5th graders at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Kenner in March. They discussed issues related to both physical bullying and cyberbullying, as well as what to do if students see others being bullied.

During May 2015, Cassidy began presenting on bullying at Ursuline Academy after taking the school counseling class at Loyola. As that semester came to an end both Cassidy and Emily applied for the Grad Assistant positions which allowed them to acquire a closer connection to the Loyola Community. This experience allowed them to get in contact with Dr. Ebrahim and once again revisit the topic of bullying. We are honored to have such motivated students seeking out ways of getting involved in the community. Keep it up ladies!
