The Counseling Department faculty will be traveling to Philadelphia this fall to participate at the national conference of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES). All five full-time faculty members have been accepted to present at the conference. Their presentations are listed below:
- "Expanding the Classroom Beyond Rationalist Pedagogies." - Dr. John Dewell and Kevin Foose
- "Preparing for Internship: Creating Realistic Site Experiences Using Trained Actors as Clients" - Dr. Chirstine Ebrahim
- "Gatekeeping in Counselor Education: Cultural Considerations, Supervision, Ethics, and... Getting Sued (YIKES!)" - Dr. Leanne Steen, Dr. Thomas Foster, and current student Laura Pignato

Congratulations to our distinguished faculty! We know these presentations will be well-received at ACES and we look forward to hearing more about your ongoing research.
