Students Earn Honors for Excellence in Academic Achievement

The School of Nursing presents awards to the top students in each of its programs who have consistently demonstrated a scholarly approach to their coursework and who are especially respected by faculty and students alike for excellence in academic achievement.

  • The Outstanding Scholar Award in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program: Brett Michael Casey
  • The Outstanding Scholar Award in the Master of Science in Healthcare Systems Management Program: Jo Ann Otts
  • The Outstanding Scholar Award in the Post Baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice Program: Diana Elwell
  • The Outstanding Scholar Award in the Post Mater's Doctor of Nursing Practice Program: Warren Hebert, Jr.

The School of Nursing also presents the Nightingale Award to the students in each of its programs who not only excel academically, but also demonstrate the values and dedication to the nursing profession espoused by Florence Nightingale. This award recognizes excellence in service to the community and to the profession as a whole.
