School of Nursing celebrates the Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana

The School of Nursing celebrates the Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana induction held on October 10, 2016, at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, La.  We congratulate Loyola inductees: Interim Director of the School of Nursing Dr. Laurie Anne Ferguson; recent Doctor of Nursing Practice graduate Roxane Decell (DNP ’16); Post-Baccalaureate to DNP Student Bryan Camus (DNP ’19); and current Doctor of Nursing Practice Student Cindy Esmail (DNP ’17). They join other Loyola faculty and graduates, and others across the state who have received this distinction.  The Great 100 was established in 1985 by P. K. Scheerle, Registered Nurse and Entrepreneur, in New Orleans, to honor the achievements of Registered Nurses in Louisiana for their excellence in nursing clinical, community endeavors, administration, research, and education.  Individuals can be nominated for the annual award process by patients, colleagues, or others.  Congratulations to our recent “Greats.”
