Annie is currently in her second year of the Counseling in Clinical Mental Health Program at Loyola. She works from the belief shared by MLK Jr. that, “no one is free when others are oppressed.” She received both her BA and MA in Women’s and Gender Studies at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She has worked primarily with youth that have experienced homelessness, trauma and criminalization. She is currently the assistant director of the Play Therapy Center at Loyola and looks forward to becoming a licensed play therapist. When she is not busy working you can find her eating tacos, enjoying the outdoors and practicing yoga.
