"Loyola's DNP program is a rigorous program designed to prepare students to enter into their desired specialty and function in a doctoral capacity. The program is intense. Upon completing the program, students are prepared to fulfill the college's motto: ‘Every nurse a leader!' "
Dr. Djenie Helne started her nursing career in 2009 after graduating from Florida A&M University's BSN program. She specialized in trauma, critical care, and cardiology. After serving as a relief nurse in her native country of Haiti following the 2010 earthquake, she decided to needed to go back to school for an advanced degree. In 2015, she graduated with her doctorate in nursing practice as a family nurse practitioner. She is currently a ventricular assistive device coordinator/ heart failure NP with the University of Florida's heart transplant team.
