Marilyn Nola Hammett, a 2006 graduate of the MSN-HCSM program, has been selected as 2012-2013 Louisiana School Nurse of the Year by the Louisiana School Nurses Organization, an affiliate of the National Association of School Nurses.  Marilyn began employment as a school nurse supervisor with the Recovery School District of New Orleans in 2006 following Hurricane Katrina.  In 2010, she began her role as Child Search Nurse.  Marilyn serves as an adjunct faculty in the HCSM Program and is a board member for Xi Psi Chapter-at-Large for Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
