Universities, healthcare professionals, and healthcare systems have identified one of the greatest barriers to graduation is the lack of preceptors to fill students’ practicum requirement. Nurse Practitioner students are required to complete 6-8 practicums at 180 hours each to earn their degree. In order to complete this requirement, preceptors must be secured, to serve as practicum mentors. 

With support from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation's Collective Impact Grant, Loyola's School of Nursing worked to develop partnerships with providers across the state of Louisiana. The following is a comprehensive list of available preceptors for students to work with, we intend to increase the number of healthcare professionals working in areas where patients face a critical lack of access to healthcare services.
