Counseling Professor Dr. LeAnne Steen graduated from the Association for Play Therapy Leadership Academy led by the Association for Play Therapy President and CEO Bill Burns. Fellow graduates from Louisiana included: Sheila Gold, Kathryn Hill, Adrianne Lolan, and Krystal Vaughan. Congratulations to Dr. Steen on her successful completion of all requirements of graduation.

Dr. Rachel Cupit was honored at the University of New Orleans College of Education and Human Development Honors Reception as the 2011 recipient of the College's Distinguished Dissertation Award.

Christine Bagala, Alison Phillips, Lisa Chew, Stephanie Ducros, Caitlyn Galjour, Melody Marks, Ali Rivera, and Matthew Watson presented posters on a variety of different topics at Loyola University's Second-Annual Graduate Research Symposium.

Loyola University New Orleans’ Christine H. Ebrahim, ’04, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Counseling and the Director of the School Counseling Graduate Program, has been chosen as one of New Orleans CityBusiness’ 2010 Women of the Year.

Dr. Latoya Pierce, a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans's Department of Counseling is now an Assistant Professor at Louisiana Tech University in the Department of Psychology and Behavorial Sciences.  Congratulations Dr. Pierce.
