Emilie Blecker is a Loyola New Orleans alum, having graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science in 2020. She is currently a counseling intern, expected to graduate with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May of 2025. She has a background in play therapy, having worked as Assistant Director of Loyola University’s Play Therapy Center for 2 years prior to internship.
Emilie is interested in working with children, as well as adults of all ages dealing with issues related to depression, anxiety, relational trauma, and childhood trauma. She is also passionate about learning more about neurodevelopmental differences and becoming a neurodiversity affirming space for all clients. Emilie views therapy through a systemic and relational lens, emphasizing the importance of the counseling relationship in therapy.
