Ruba hails from Minnesota where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a History minor from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. After receiving her degree, Ruba worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer and a Behavior Therapist. She is interested in working with survivors of trauma, while also engaging in research with topics including racial/ ethnic trauma, racial/ ethnic discrimination, and intersectional identities. In addition, Ruba is interested in working with children and adults in counseling. In her free time, Ruba enjoys studying languages, writing, watching documentaries, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones.
