Makayla Schoderbek

Hello! My name is Makayla and I am a counseling intern at Loyola Center for Counseling and Education (LCCE). I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Loyola University New Orleans. I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Counselor's Education from the University of South Carolina. I practice through a person-centered and child-led play therapy lens, though I am learning Adlerian play therapy. I have experience working with children and adolescents of all ages and demographics. I strive to support children and their families throughout the ups and downs of life and aid them in preparing them to not survive but to thrive.
