Kate Shields

Hi! My name is Kate and I am an intern for the LCCE currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans. I currently hold a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in Informatics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am interested in working with individuals across the lifespan who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career transitions, and trauma. I am also interested in learning more about neurodiversity and ways to create an affirming space for all clients. I strive to offer an empathetic and safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and accepted just as you are.
