Currently a first-year student, Ruba hails from Minnesota where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a History minor from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. After receiving her degree, Ruba worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer and currently works as a Behavior Therapist specializing in Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy. She is interested in working with survivors of trauma, while also engaging in research with topics including racial trauma, ethnic/ racial discrimination, and ethnocultural empathy. In addition, Ruba adores children and would love to learn more about Play Therapy. In her free time, Ruba enjoys studying languages, writing, watching documentaries, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones.
