A big step like this often requires financial planning and assistance, and there are many financial aid options to suit your needs, from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), to student loans and grants, to employer-provided tuition match programs.

LOYOLA NEW ORLEANS NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS
There are two unique scholarships available through Loyola University New Orleans for online nursing students:
The Legacy Scholarship: is for online Loyola alumni to bestow $1,000 in their name to a friend, family member, or colleague who will attend one of Loyola’s online nursing programs.
The Heritage Scholarship is a $1,000 donation to yourself, courtesy of Loyola University, after you’ve graduated from any of our programs (online or on-campus) and registered for a new program. It’s our way of investing in you as you continue your education at Loyola University New Orleans.

FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA)
- First, register for a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID with the U.S. Department of Education. Your FSA ID will serve as your electronic signature on any federal student aid documents that you complete online. Get yours at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid
- Once you have your ID, head to https://fafsa.ed.gov and get your application started.
- During the application process, you’ll be prompted to enter the school code for Loyola University New Orleans. The code is 002016.
EMPLOYER TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM
If your employer provides tuition reimbursement, you might be eligible for a payment extension of 90 percent of your tuition. Here’s what to do:
- First, send the dean’s office a copy of your employer’s reimbursement policy and proof of your eligibility.
- Next, complete the Employer Reimbursement Agreementand submit to the dean’s office.
- Each semester after that, send an updated Employer Reimbursement Agreement form, along with proof of your eligibility on company letterhead.
- When you submit your forms, remember to send 10 percent of your tuition and regular fees by the university’s due date.
- Any other charges must be paid in full within normal deadlines, with full payment required 30 days after grades are due in the dean’s office.
Note that transcripts and diploma will be withheld until final payment is received
2017-2018 TUITION*
We calculate tuition by multiplying the total number of credit hours needed by cost per credit, then adding necessary fees. That total should provide an adequate picture of the cost for obtaining your degree.

Practicum fee: $500, each semester that practicum course is taken
Commencement fee: $275

Traditional RN-to-MSN
Cost per credit hour: $325 (undergraduate courses) + $818 (graduate courses)
Total credit hours: 30–96 undergraduate courses, depending on accepted transfer credits + 36–48 MSN-level courses, depending on chosen specialization
Information Technology: $225/semester (Fall/Spring only)
Practicum fee: $500, each semester that practicum course is taken

Master of Science in Nursing

EMPLOYER TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM
If your employer provides tuition reimbursement, you may be eligible for a deferral of 90 percent of tuition. To become eligible for this deferment, the student must submit to the dean’s office a copy of the employer’s reimbursement policy and each semester submit verification on company letterhead of the student’s eligibility in the plan.
Each semester the student must submit an updated Employer Reimbursement Agreement form along with 10 percent of tuition and regular fees by the university's due date. Any other charges must be paid within the normal deadlines. Payment in full will be required 30 days after grades are due in the dean’s office.
