Achievements

Loyola Counseling intramural team, Pink Freud, aptly named after the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, went undefeated this flag football season, finishing with a 6-0 record. Led by all-star quarterback, Jenna Oncale, the Pink Freuds serged their way to victory with poise and class. Team members also included: Maggie Alewine, Kristen Centanni, Bri Cortez, Sarah Finney, Xenia Hatzilias, Carly Herron, Lynsey Hinnenkamp, Tracy Kinamore, Stephie Koch, Devin Leivo, Megan Loos, Megan Matthews, and Rachel Schaub.

Stephanie R. Robinson MS, LPC, NCC is the new Admissions and Clinical Coordinator for the Department of Counseling. Stephanie graduated from Loyola's Counseling Program in 2011. We're glad to have you back!

Nasima Khan, currently pursuing a MS in Counseling, has been awarded this year's International Student Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded each year to a student in F-1 status, with a 3.0 minimum grade point average who has demonstrated significant contributions to cultural understanding and awareness at Loyola. Financial need and academic merit are also considered. The recipient is selected by a committee of faculty, staff and students.

 

Robin Gusman Rhodes (‘10), Ashley Ugalano (‘10), and Mariel Gonzalez (summer 2011) were all recently hired as a school counselors at Mt. Carmel Academy in New Orleans. They join alums Catherine Geoghegan McDermott (’09) and Ashley Childes (’09) who are already school counselors there.

The Counseling Clinical Excellence Award is presented to the graduate counseling student who has demonstrated excellence in clinical counseling skills.
