Catherine “Cathy” Harrell is a native of New Orleans returning after over 27 years of living in Arkansas. She has over 17 years of experience in academic advising and career counseling. Her background in higher education extends to grant administration and management as well as institutional development. She has also taught workforce development courses for business and industry along with foster parent training courses for the Arkansas Department of Human Services. Mrs. Harrell has also developed materials for and taught Life Skills courses for high school aged foster children and students in Upward Bound.
With a background in both business and academia, she brings an understanding of real-world expectations and standards to students transitioning to the working world. An active volunteer in her community she has worked with the United Way of Union County, and multiple related agencies. Her passion is student growth and achievement. Empowering people to do what they never thought possible.
