Antiqua Smart

Dr. Smart is a dually board-certified family nurse practitioner and advanced public health nurse through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has clinical expertise in the areas of maternal-newborn health, women’s health, school-based health, college health, pediatrics/adolescent medicine, family medicine, pain management, psychiatry, addiction medicine, nurse-managed care, and telehealth/telemedicine. In addition to her role as a clinician, Dr. Smart is an experienced nurse educator, healthcare consultant, health policy advocate, and entrepreneur. As an academician, she has co-authored several nursing textbook chapters, published articles in peer-reviewed nursing journals, and is a certified peer reviewer for The Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.  Dr. Smart is currently a board of directors member for the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners in which she serves as a Health Policy Committee Member/Political Action Committee Co-Chair and a Medical Advisory Board Member for Nice Healthcare in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She holds a multistate RN license and licensed as an APRN in Louisiana, Alabama, and Colorado.
