Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master's degree program in nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Loyola University New Orleans are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791. Our most recent accreditation site visit date was November 16, 2016.

Louisiana State Board of Nursing

The Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN) is charged with approving all nursing education programs in Louisiana. Loyola University New Orleans's gradaute programs maintain full approval status of its programs with the LSBN. The new pre-licensure baccalaureate program holds initial approval status with the LSBN. Approved  nursing education programs can be found on the LSBN website here.

 

Public Notice of Upcoming CCNE Accreditation Review

Loyola University New Orleans School of Nursing will host a CCNE accreditation review of their Master’s in Nursing program on November 8-10, 2021. As part of the CCNE accreditation process, program constituents and other interested parties have the opportunity to submit comments, in writing, concerning the program's qualifications for accreditation. Written, signed, third-party comments regarding the Master’s in Nursing program must be received by CCNE by October 18, 2021. CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. If you would like to submit a third-party comment for the Master’s program, please submit to thirdpartycomments@ccneaccreditation.org
