Dr. Petriello is the principal of Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, New York. He has extensive experience in Catholic education, and Ignatian education in particular. Having served as faculty and department chair in a Jesuit high school, he has overseen the development and implementation of rich curricula, effective pedagogy, and meaningful student assessment and evaluation. Through his administrative experience and previous role as Assistant for Secondary and Pre-Secondary Education, Dr. Petriello has a unique perspective born of engaging in Catholic school administration, program implementation, and starting and sustaining Jesuit mission and identity programs used throughout the USA Northeast Province in collaboration with the Jesuit Schools Network. He has also organized leadership and retreat experiences for faculty and students. Dr. Petriello has taught graduate courses in religious education as adjunct faculty in Jesuit universities for five years and served on several dissertation committees. His academic interests include the study of the intersection of service, social justice, Ignatian spirituality, and youth and young adult spirituality.
