Closer to the headwaters of the Mississippi River, Sarah Hollows grew up in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. She graduated with a B.A. in Critical Studies of Race and Ethnicity from St. Catherine University, and has an M.A. in Intermedia Arts from the University of Maine. Her work grows at the crossroads of community organizing, embodied practices of storytelling and poetics, and transgenerational/ancestral healing. Guided by black and indigenous feminism, queer phenomenology, and mindfulness practice, Sarah plans to build trauma informed, collaborative therapeutic relationships to uplift those in marginalized communities and advocate towards collective liberation. She enjoys real conversation over coffee, tea, or La Croix on a walk or a bench in the shade.
