Sarah holds degrees in theatre studies, psychology, and is currently pursuing her degree and licensure in clinical mental health counseling at Loyola University. She is the Director of Care for Creatives at Southern Rep Theatre, a pilot program which unites New Orleans’ creative community in a sanctuary space to promote resilience through enriching workshops and engaging mental health self-care events. Sarah worked professionally in the theatre arts from 2002-2012 in various creative and leadership roles. She then followed her passion for the healing arts and moved to Hawaii to work as a naturopathic physician’s assistant, creativity-therapist and eco-therapist. Her curiosity led her to Berlin, Germany where she spent three years studying psychology, psycho-aromatherapy, autogenic hypnosis relaxation training, shamanism, and working as a life coach, aromatherapist and meditation journey guide. Sarah is an active mental health advocate with New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic You Got This program task force and steering committee as well as an occasional volunteer for Jewish Family Services’ Teen Life Counts program. Her counseling clinical work will focus on psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults. She is happy to have returned home where she delights in combining her passions of psychology and the arts in honor of healing in New Orleans.
