Achievements

Semonne' A. Pierre, NCC, LPC presented Important First Steps for Young Professionals Establishing a Private Practice as part of the Leadership, Development, and Mentoring Institutute at the LCA in October, 2019.

The Alpha Phi Chapter of CSI joined together with SBP (formerly St. Bernard Project http://sbpusa.org) to rebuild houses and cultivate resilience with communities in need.

Congratulations to Melissa Ewing, MPS ’19, for receiving the Loyola Institute for Ministry Scholar Award! 

The Loyola Institute for Ministry Scholar Award recognizes excellence in Scholarship, Leadership and Service in a graduate from the Loyola Institute for Ministry.

Melissa’s final project for her degree focused on the faith development of mothers in her parish community. She worked to help mothers develop spiritual agency by connecting their vocation with the motherhood of the Holy Trinity.

Brandy Burgess, who graduated with her Master of Religious Education degree in 2019, will be putting her degree to work as she embraces two new positions. Brandy was hired as the Education Technology Specialist for Bishop Manogue Catholic High School in Reno, NV. As Ed Tech, she will be facilitating the school’s 1:1 transition. Beginning with the freshman class, students will engage with class materials via their own personal device. An eventual goal is to offer courses for students online.
